some made in east van, a few on the coast.
somewhere between 2000 and 2004 ish.
'some sleep' slightly after.
'vertical' and 'savant' are newer.
some gear and an md8 multirack minidisc recorder was used to initially capture most of this. an s950, with no sequencer, was used to create 'no order / no sequence', with maybe a fx500. an mc303, dd6 pedal, and maybe fx500 was used for 'temper (drums dub)'. and also for 'depth charge' with kenton loewen on drums and percussion, improvised live. 'heaters (dub)' .. there might be a voice inside the waves. recorded and created in hopkins landing. 'vertical' is moving sideways on a 90 degree angle. savant. acclimatizing to a constant state of approaching resolution. floating 'some sleep' is a newly discovered vinyl stop effect and playing along some sounds. swirly girl a whirl. audio snips of 93.1 and a 6 side soundcheck.
"retrospective tracks that still stand up for me in a particular way, and help fill in a few details of my overall expression. heavy on the raw and dirtier side of dub. generally darker too, probably."
